When I first began to use a computer for my family history, I created my own database with Microsoft Acess.

The great thing about creating your own database is that you can change and add to it as the need arises.

I must also say that as I am not a computer programmer I made many mistakes but well worth the effort.

Please remember that I created this on my own, commercial programs like Family Tree Maker

have whole teams of expert programmers working on them and they still have bugs in the programmes.

I place here for those who are contemplating creating their own database, pictures of different aspects of my database.

I will try to answer any questions relating to Microsoft Access database But please remember I am not an expert.
